You.    What kinda classifide ads can I search using Siftin's classifieds search service?
Me.    Some of the Classifieds categories currently suported at Siftin.com are:
            Household Items search (including Electronics, used Furniture)
            Used Cars search
            Job search
            Pets search
            Event Tickets search
            Deals/Coupons search

You.    There are so many different places to post classifieds ad on Internet, How do you make sure you have             seen everywhere?
Me.    We don't (infact, if anyone claims they do, they should become a politician).  Our motto is "SEARCH                 BESTTM sources, find best results". We only sift Top 10-15 sources for most categories (except Vehicles).             We found that 99+% of the data comes from only few top resources.

You.    How is Siftin different?
Me.  

  1. Selection: Siftin will let you select sites, where you would like to search classifieds.
  2. Real time results: Siftin will fetch live results, unlike Crawling/hogging content providers and providing stale data to consumers. A parallel example will be Air ticket deal finding site like kayak.com
  3. Greener: We don't crawl content providers and we fetch data from client side, that means your computer's unused processing power is used to get results.
  4. Great features: Preview, Save, Tell a friend, Print, and Research (Jobs and Autos)
You.   Why is Siftin.com sometimes so slow?
Me.  
  1. Resources: We are a self-funded company, and actively looking for external funding, which will get us better machines, network, etc
  2. Live results: Fetching live results is a risky business, as sometime one selected site night be terribly slow/down.
