I have a family of chihuahuas who were rescued from a high kill central valley shelter who are ready for their loving forever homes . They appear to be a mix , mom is a pure chihuahua, blond with gold eyes. Pups could be mixed with pug. Just a guess really. All are extremely friendly, social, loving and adorable. They were born in the shelter on May 21 and I they have been in my care since they were 3 days old , raised with children, cats and other dogs.

We saved a beautiful puppy from being euthanized and we need to find him a good home. We fell in love with little Thompson and so will you. We would keep him if we could, but our apartment in Santa Cruz just isn't dog friendly enough, and this little guy deserves a PERFECT home. He is 11 weeks old, his father was a full bred black lab and his mother was a lab mix. Two different vets have taken a stab at the other mix... but no one is totally sure. Either way, he is housebroken, loves people and kids, is the calmest puppy I've ever come across, and would make a perfect best friend. We've had him in for a vet visit, gave him is first round of vaccinations, and started him on flea/heartworm prevention medication. He is worth way more than $400 to us, but the price is there to ensure that the person buying him will take him very seriously and be as good of parents as we would be... and trust me, we set a high bar. We are rehoming our Chihuahua puppy because we are moving out of state and it is hard to find a place that will accept pets. He is well trained, already completed puppy training, he can sit, down, stay, shake and roll over. He weighs about 4 pounds since the last time I weighed him, but he won't be much bigger. Hello everyone! Unfortunately I am forced to put up for adoption my two dogs, I'm in the process of loosing my house and will not be able to take them. Then one on the right is Bullet, he is 2.5 years old, weighs about 10lbs. Bullet is Dachshund/Terrier mix. He has an easy going attitude, not a runner or trouble maker likes to get attention and is always up for a walk anytime of the day.
Then one on the left is Rocky, he is 3 years old and weighs about 8lbs. Rocky is Dachshund/Pomeranian mix. He also has a good attitude but tends to want more attention then Bullet, his not a trouble maker but may not always be up for a walk. Both dogs a great dogs, as faithful as they come. They are great with kids, I've never had an issue with any of them. They both have their shots and are inside/outside dogs. I don't really mind if they are adopted separately or together I just want someone that can take care of them. Our friend's dad died and left him a little pug. She is about 3-4 years old and pretty cute. He doesn't have space for her so I'm taking her to SF to interview potential new owners for a few days. She loves food and people, plays with some cats, and doesn't particularly like playing with dogs, but that probably is because she is never around dogs her size. She is very comfortable around other dogs though and friendly. She has some eye problems, but I'm not sure to what extent - I think that some of it might be allergies.

CiCi and Summer
Cici and her mother Summer are physically identical but opposite in personality. They play together and look like two white panthers moving about the house. Summer is shy and quiet. She comes to you when you're sitting down but is not comfortable being picked up as you walk towards her. She likes to nuzzle under your chin and purr.
Cici is an extrovert. She wants to be a part of everything you do. She likes to talk and will readily come to you. Both are fine with dogs that don't chase and friendly with other cats, Cici more so.

Almost euthanized because she is shy, Serena's fortune changed when she was rescued from that fate.
Once this beautiful Calico gets used to her surroundings, she is very sweet. Serena likes other cats but she is not terribly fond of dogs.
She will be at PetCo in Fairfield on Saturday from 11:00-3:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:30-4:30 p.m.

WHO HE IS:
Huckleberry (also referred to as "Schmukleburg" and "The Professor") is a pleasantly plump and gentle 8-year-old Tabby cat. He enjoys a good cuddle (he's an exceptionally good cuddler, actually), time outside, food on demand and warm spots in which to laze about. He came from a shelter and we have been his only family. Huckleberry is an easy, easy cat. He's definitely not one of those crazy cats that freak out for no reason, constantly live in fright under a bed or attack you during an innocent trip to the bathroom. Really, all he wants is food, a good cuddle in the evenings and lots of naps. (So, you're wondering, why does he need a new home. See below.)
REQUIREMENTS:
1) He would prefer to be the only cat. Bonus points for not having any kids. If not, he needs to have his own space and not feel like he's being stalked by psycho kitties and dogs or poky little infants. He really deserves to be pampered and wants to be the apple of your eye. We're guilty enough as it is to be giving him away, so we really want this move to be a step up.
2) Access to outside. He really likes to go exploring every once in awhile. He's never run away...he hates to be far away from his food.
3) A permanent home. We have no intention of just passing him off. He needs someone who's settled and mature. (Again, the guilt factor.)
WHY HE NEEDS A NEW HOME:
1) My husband first got Huckleberry before we got married. Oh, that cat had it good. The good life started to decline when I kicked him out of bed. Then, we got a dog. Then, we had two kids. Now, he's living in the garage (the only space the dog/kids can't get to). I'm sure I'm imagining all this, but it really feels that he deserves better than what we can provide him.
2) The other more immediate reason is that we're going to be out of town for a month or more, and figure now's a good time to try and find him a home.

Juicy Fruit is a wonderful, family oriented 5 year old Pit Bull Terrier mix. Juicy loves people, particularly children. While he can be fun and exuberant, Juicy does downtime well, he loves to snuggle or just chill near you. This amazing dog will make someone very happy with a lifetime of love to share.
Meet Palmera, a lively and loving young Terrier/Chihuahua mix. Palmera was brought to the shelter from a neglected environment and is ready to blossom in a loving new home. She prefers cuddling over play and will need a home willing to teach her basics like walking on a leash. Come meet her!

Just rescued from high kill shelter. He is a happy boy, very friendly and very cute. He is good with people, dogs and we are not sure about cats. The one thing he will need is continued housetraining. We have a feeling he was an outside dog, he had quite a few ticks when we picked him up. He is getting neutered on Monday, and will be examined and vaccinated,dewormed and flea/tick treated. He will be microchipped as well.

He needs his shots. He is about 15 pounds now, but he will be getting a little bigger based on the size of his paws. He has short hair but still sheds, so he needs to be brushed. I've started him on training, and he is getting the hang of sit, wait, come, up, and stay. I take him for a walk everyday at the park, and he heels pretty well. He gets along great with other dogs, children, and elderly. He's very loving and playful, and I'm looking for a good home for him because I can no longer keep him. Fabulous Miss Molly was found wandering alone in Morgan Hill and is now a CARE (www.carepets.org) foster dog looking for a forever home. Molly is a one year old dachshund (doxie) and miniature pincher (min pin) mix (with a dash of chihuahua?) weighing in at a petite six pounds. Her fur is sleek and soft and very, very short: she doesn%uFFFDt seem to shed. She is house-trained, crate-trained, barks rarely and hasn%uFFFDt chewed on any of her foster mom%uFFFDs stuff. Good girl! She walks well on leash and is learning some basic commands. She%uFFFDs fine with well-behaved children and loves to play with other dogs, especially ones her size.
Now the fun stuff:
1) Molly lives to be cuddled and be right next to you. She loves to be held and will give tons of kisses and delicately place her little paw on your nose. Awww!
2) She%uFFFDs spring loaded! She can jump straight up in the air several feet and can perch on the back of chairs like a cat.
3) She loves to play with her toys and will start fun games on her own by tossing them up in the air for herself. If you or a dog buddy would join in, she%uFFFDs in heaven.
4) You%uFFFDll never have cold feet in bed again. Molly loves to curl up at your feet UNDER the covers. Warm, toasty and cuddly.
5) That tiny little face wears a perpetual smile. Seriously, this little girl%uFFFDs goofy grin will put a smile on your face, too.
6) Woo hoo, she loves the BEACH! She chases gulls, explores like a pirate hunting treasure and digs tunnels to China in the sand.
Molly would be happiest in a home where she can be with her person as much as possible, either at home or work. She went to work with her first foster mom and now keeps Emily company in her home office. She would make a great second dog. She is young so she does need a couple short walks a day and/or fun indoor play sessions. She%uFFFDs not bossy or dominant so would be an easy dog for a first-time dog parent. Like all CARE dogs, Molly is microchipped, spayed and up to date on shots. There is a standard adoption fee. Interview and homeheck required prior to placement.

My husband and I rescue kittens (mainly orphans that require bottle feeding) from high-kill and overcrowded shelters that would otherwise just euthanize these little guys. We then provide whatever care they need until they are big enough to go to their new homes! We currently have about 25 kittens that are ready to go--and a huge variety of colors (orange tabbies, grey tabbies, white and grey, black, brown tabbies, calicos, siamese, torties, polydactyls (extra toes), etc)! I guarantee that you will be overwhelmed by the selection and personalities--if you can't find someone here that fits you perfectly, they may not exist! Kittens range in age from 9 weeks to 4 months, and they are all very friendly and outgoing! All are litterbox trained and are eating both canned and dry food. They have been raised indoors with 3 dogs and other cats. All would be fabulous with children. Everyone has been tested for feline leukemia virus, dewormed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and ear mites, examined by a licensed veterinarian,and spayed or neutered. Adoption fee is $80 or 2 kittens for $140. This is MUCH cheaper than getting a "free" kitten and paying to have all this stuff done yourself! All medical records and a 1 pound bag of dry kitten food will be provided with adoption, and cardboard carriers are available if you do not have a carrier of your own. I get so frustrated when I see someone is getting rid of their dog because they had children or because they moved or they bought a dog for someone who had no time to begin with for the dog.

My dog, a male german shephard was a biter, and a huge dog. Guess what, I committed to him from the time I got him at 3 months old, for the rest of his life. I made sure I always rented from a place that took my dog even if it cost me extra. I work, my dog is home all day, but I wouldnt rehome because of that. I get hours of joy every night when I go home, from my loving furry tail wagging friend and weekends he goes everywhere with me. I didnt 'rehome' him because he chewed as a puppy or pee'd in the house a couple times, or was touchy, or was to big, or I couldnt rent, or I worked or I moved to a different state. excuses excuses. I gave him lots of stimulating toys, potty trained him, socialized him, moved across the u.s. with him, and rented where I knew I could keep my dog.
People, dogs have feelings, they get attached, sad, and stressed, they dont deserve to be tossed around and pawned off. They deserve all the love care and kindness they give us humans.
Its so sad to see so many people rehoming their dogs.
Young people, you dont have the time, dont get a darn dog. They are not for you to look cool for 6 months to a year and then when you get bored you rehome them. dogs are a responsibility for up to 14 years. They take time, care, love, and cost money.

Shadow is a 12 month old shar pei/pit mix with a giant heart just exploding with love. He is extremely smart and listens well to direction. He is constantly looking for your approval and justs wants to please. He is also very treat motivated making it a breeze to teach him new things. He has great leash manners, knows sit and can stay for short periods of time. He is still working on those longer ones, but just can't wait to get to you to give you a great big kiss. He also waits patiently until given the OK to eat and never bolts out of his kennel. He will sit and wait until he is told to exit. What a GREAT boy! He is house trained and loves his kennel. With the simple command "kennel" or point of a finger and he will gladly go in for some R&R. Shadow has lived with cats in the past and after the first excited introductions he does fine with them. He is still working on the proper way to interact with other dogs, but can and has lived with them in the past. Shadow will need an active household who can provide him with plenty of regular exercise. He loves to go for walks, runs or even bike rides. He also loves to play fetch and has even learned how to toss the ball himself. Shadow came to Copper's Dream extremely under socialized and scared of almost everyone and everything outside the home. It has been a truly rewarding experience to see him come such a long way. He is one happy boy full of life just waiting for that perfect forever home to come along. I purchased him when he was 7 weeks old from Ramos Kennels (www.ramoskennels.com). He father is a 7 time grand champion (He is on the cover page of Ramos Kennels website). His twin brother is a 4 time champion, but I think he looks better than him. I dont due dog shows, but he has penitential to being a grand champion. I have spent over $5,000 on him, but i am giving him away for free only to a good family or person who will take good care of him.
He has never given me any problems or concerns. He is a very intelligent, healthy, play full, and beautiful dog with excellent temperament. I really love this dog and have treated him with love and respect. I have taken him camping, fishing, and family picnics.
The only reason why i am looking for a new home for him is because i just had my 2nd child and have been working extra hours.

His name is Wrecks (so named when we got him several years ago). He's a smart, beautiful, protective yet sweet Shepard mixed, who loves to swim, chase balls, and knows a few other tricks. He loved the snow when we went. He is great with kids and other dogs.
I have to move and don't have kids any longer. I'm looking for a home for him with someone who will have the time to play with him and love him. He's used to being inside when I'm home (yes, he's spoiled), but is outside when I'm not at home during the day.
He has been neutered, and has had recent shots.
These two pups are in the care of Companion Animal Rescue League, they're all that remain from a litter of 10. The mother delivered her litter under a container at a construction site. By the time the pups were weaned the foreman had trapped the mom and removed her leaving orders for the workers to remove the pups. It took the rescue organization several days to trap and remove the remaining pups and now Timmy, and Tommy are the last to find homes. The pups are 12 weeks old and weight about 15-18 pounds, they're going to be good sized dogs and appear to be a shepherd/retriever mix. They're active, playful pups who are good around other dogs. The pups have been wormed twice, have had two puppy shots, the third is due on 7/25, and are doing very well. Please contact us for more information, rescuedogz@gmail.com. I am moving abroad in mid August for 2 years and am looking for a good home for my nearly 2-year-old male cat. He will do best in a home with other pets, as his first year of life he lived with 2 cats. He also does really well with small dogs -- I've dog sat 3 small dogs with him and he's typically mildly curious and/or disinterested, but no attacking.
I wouldn't recommend taking him if you have small children, as his playing can sometimes involve biting/nails. Again, he tends to be more mellow when he has another furry buddy to hang with, so ideally you'll have a small dog or cats. He has been an indoor cat, but he does enjoy sitting on our third floor balcony, so if he has access to the outdoors I'm sure he'd take advantage of it.

Just rescued last night from a high kill shelter. He will be neutered, examined and vaccinated prior to adoption. He is Heartworm negative and is a sweetie pie.... He was found huddled in the back of the shelter kennel shaking in fear. Since he has been at our house, he is blossoming into his confidence. He is great with dogs, loves little Macy. he is housetrained from what I have observed so far. If you would like to meet him, please fill out an online application. This shepherd mix is approx 5 months old. He is just a baby, but he is big already for his age. He is very sweet and MELLOW for a pup. He is great with other dogs, not sure about cats. Great with kids too. He sleeps on his dog bed all night, does not make a peep. I have not heard him bark yet, there is NO separation anxiety and so far it looks like he is housetrained. He is very into learning, and will sit by your side on command. He is a sweetheart, and deserves a wonderful home. He was just pulled from a high kill shelter. He is at our vet now being examined, neutered and vaccinated. He is heartworm negative and was started on heartgard last night. We also applied Advantix and dewormed him as well. He will be available this weekend for adoption.

This weekend Community Concern for Cats, Lafayette will have a wonderful selection of kittens and cats. We have a number of 8-12 week old kittens who are ready to be adopted. We have a wonderful lynx point siamese, Winter, who would like to be the only cat in your household. We also have many calico kittens (several are not pictured) Most of our little kittens need a buddy.
With CC4C, our kittens and cats live in our homes so we really know their personalities and will do our best to make a good match for you. We know which of our kitties are good with kids, other cats, dogs and who would like to be an only cat. We take our kittens and cats back if it doesn't work out.
Current Adoption fee $100 for kittens. Cats over 1 year are $75. Fee includes: Shots, spaying/neutering and leukemia testing, defleaing and deworming. Let me just start off by saying that its wonderful you have found a dog on here. Second of all, you are not in the wrong, if they were that easy to give the dog up in the first place and then decide to want to get her/him back, somethings fishy with that. A dog isn't a possession you just decide you don't "want" for a couple of weeks and decide "Oh, I want the dog back"... Its something you really got to put thought into, why would they have to give the dog up in the first place?? Thats not a real owner, thats not no dog lover, there should be a law against owners who think dogs are like merchandise you can return or exchange at a supermarket. dogs have feelings, dogs remember names, faces, people who love and care for them. You deserve that dog and that dog deserves somebody who will love them 100%.. not just decide to get rid of it and then decide oh well I want it back.. :) Good luck and hopefully they'll leave you and your family alone.

I have a 20 month old female American pit bull terrier. She weighs 65 pounds and is grey in color. She is very loving and outgoing but we cannot keep her anymore but we are doing what is best for her and want her to go to a good home. She needs someone who will work her out and spend time with her. She is good with other dogs but would be best for her to be in a single dog home so she can receive full attention. She likes children but unsure of her with a baby . She knows her basic commands sit, stay, come, and down and also in Spanish. She does well while off leash and stays close during that time. Skittles - #A284967 - 8 month old male Pitbull Terrier Mix. Skittles is a happy friendly big boy who loves to play. What a big huge head and a big mouth! The better to smile and hang his tongue out. His favorite pasttime currently is using toys to play keepaway with the volunteers. Phew! What a workout. (for us) Another game he loves is when the volunteer has two or more toys to throw so he would be constantly on the move. He is affectionate and likes to be petted and will lick your face. Once she gets to know you, she loves being petted. She will even roll over onto her back for tummy and chest rubs. In some photos she looks a bit german shepherdish, in others very much a lab. She loves spending time with her person and going on long walks (or runs!). She is excellent onleash. Her ideal home would have a large fenced yard in a neighborhood with little traffic or traffic noise. There should be no kids in Ginger's new family.

He loves running after balls and toys and sometimes will retreive them - and he knows how to "give" it over! He's already learned to "leave it!" when about to go for something he should not. He enjoys a vigorous game of tug. He walks well onleash and focuses on his person. He loves his treats and is a giant wiggle waggle snugglebug and face licker. He thinks he's a lapdog at times and sometimes loves to fall asleep with his head on your lap. He needs further introductions to new things and environments. He needs to get use to all the noises of the city. He knows how to "sit", "down", sometimes "roll over", and "wait" with treats. He needs someone who is gentle but firm with previous breed experience who will continue Pinto's training. Pinto is a smart boy and picks things up really quickly. He loves men and women equally, and he likes other dogs, too. Ideally, Pinto would thrive in a home with a large fenced yard in a neighborhood where there is not much traffic and noise. Please note, on his intake form on the front of his kennel, it says he is unsocialized, fearful, etc. Many times such as in the case of Pinto, the dogs get over their fears and become friendly or friendlier due to the volunteers' and others' efforts.

SPCA - Sometimes, dogs are picked up by the spca and moved over to their adoption area. They have their own fees and adoption rules. It sometimes takes 1-3 days for the moved dogs to become available there, due to tests and processing.
PULLED = When a dog is "PULLED", it means they are removed from the adoption areas (as opposed to not being in the adoptable area for medical or other reasons) and may be euthenized if a Rescue does not pick them up. ONLY Rescues may pick up a Pulled dog or a dog that does not make it to the adoption area of ACC. However, the general public may foster or adopt that dog or another dog through a rescue such as RocketDog Rescue, Grateful Dog, Wonderdog, Norcalfamilydogrescue, etc.
I am sorry for your loss.
Don't think about how your dog died. Remember how he lived. And don't doubt yourself. You took care of him to the best of your ability and he loved you very much. If anyone is to blame, it is the female dog and her owner. I hope you identified the female dog and her owner. I recommend you report her to animal control and possibly the police. The female dog could have a vicious dog title placed upon her, which would be a safe thing towards the community and other dogs.
Did you take your dog to an Emergency vet office? I know they're a lot more willing to take in any animal compared to a normal vet clinic. Even the local shelter clinics would probably take in an animal too regardless of your payment circumstances.
German Shepherd Rescue of Northern California is holding its monthly adoption day in Gilroy this Saturday, July 10th, from 11 am - 2 pm.

Bayou is about 35-40 pounds, neutered and up on all his shots. He knows "Down" and is working on "Sit" - He's great on a leash, very friendly with other dogs and is not a barker. Jinx is a 6yr old Yellow Lab, Pitbull Mix. She is very smart but very energetic. She needs a home with a family that can spend more time with her, She loves to fetch and run around. She understands basic commands like shake, sit, laydown and stay. She also goes potty on command. She is good with children and other dogs. She does need work when it comes to walking on a lease she tends to pull, and she also gets excited when she see's new dogs (not aggressive) She is very sweet and loving

So, I did the stupidest of stupid things and bought a years worth of Revolution for my dog. My dog grew out of it within 6 months lol now I don't have any use for the other box. Usually it sells for like $90 a box but I am only asking $65 for it. The expiration date on it is August of 2012. Similarly her sister has 6 months of sentinel left that she grew out of. It is for 2-10 lbs. If you want the 6 months of Sentinel I am asking $50 for it or if you want to take them both I can give you both for $100. Email if interested. Sentinel is a chewable and Revolution is a topical and both cover heartworm and fleas and both are given only once a month. they are usually very expensive so this price is a steal. . I will not negotiate on the both for $100 price but I will negotiate on the box price but not much. I really don't want to lose too much. Email if interested and we can arrange something.
There are four puppies, about 9 weeks old (two males/two females) waiting for homes at the Petaluma Shelter! One pup is a cattle dog male (not shown), the other three puppies will be medium sized mutt dogs, 2 females/1 male. They are all adorable and very nice dogs. He also came into the shelter with a matted coat and severe reaction to the fleas that were eating him alive. He%uFFFDs already received several baths with soothing shampoos, has been deflea%uFFFDd, and has been on meds to clear the wounds and itchiness. He%uFFFDs now much more comfortable and ready for trips to the dog park and other outings. The extra weight makes it difficult for him to go on longer walks/hikes just yet, but he%uFFFDs always game for exploration opportunities and readily follows his foster mom%uFFFDs coaxing to come along. Reggie lives in a foster home with a 70-lb lab mix, another foster dog, and two cats. He gets along well with everyone. Once in a while you%uFFFDll see her entertaining herself by throwing her ball for herself and going after it.

As his fur grows out, he will need to be brushed regularly and will need professional hair cuts costing about $50.00 every six to eight weeks. He is a hypo-allergenic, no-shed dog. He is being crate trained in his foster home, but he may already be house broken. His new owner should be prepared to continue the crate training until sure he is fully house broken. He was probably not with children in his previous home and may do best in a home with adults only or one with older children. He is looking for a family that can spend a lot of time with him as he loves to be with people. So far he has not been very playful. He just wants to snuggle with or be at the feet of his new favorite person (he seems to like everyone he meets). He gets along fine with the other dogs here, but is not really playing with them. CARTER was one of 10 puppies born at the shelter in December 2005. TVAR rescued the mom, Babe, with the puppies, raised them in foster care, and adopted them into loving homes. His family needs to move due to the current economic struggles and can no longer have their beloved Carter with them. He is a handsome, large (approx. 85 lbs.) neutered male. He loves children and is an excellent watch dog. He has had training, with the assistance of a person who trained the S.F. police dogs, and responds well to German commands. There are two children in the home and Carter is very gentle with them. He is well-behaved indoors, however he does have some separation anxiety and doesn%uFFFDt like to be left alone. This has not been a problem for his current full-time mom, so a new family should include a stay-at-home parent, someone who works from home, or has flexible or overlapping schedules. Splash is a 2 Year Old Male Neutered Pit Mix Looking for His Forever Home! He has been at the kennel now since being rescued for so long that he is starting to figure out he may never know what it is like to have a "real" home. He was rescued from a local shelter and has been boarded at a local kennel for the past two and a half months. There has been very little interest in him and all he understands now is the boarding kennel he now knows as home. A boarding kennel is no place to call home!!. Splash needs a very special person who can provide a him with a temporary or permanent home, and show him what it is really like to be a pet. Splash would not only be grateful, but would show you what is it like to feel his love. He loves people and is so eager to please. He is appreciative and his love is so huge, you can't begin to feel it until you are with him. Please check out the video below to get a sense of the power of Splash's love. He is looking for his lifelong companion and he is so eager to please. Don't let this sweet boy down! He is not only a very happy and loving guy, but also willing to learn and eager to please. 7 yr old quiet, pretty, and very healthy cat needs a new home due to cross-country relocation. Isabel is a black, long-hair spayed female. She does well with quiet dogs but she is afraid of excitable/rowdy dogs. She seems to especially like women. Since a small kitten, Isabel has been a strictly indoor cat and she has been fed a high-quality diet. She has had no significant health issues. hi We saved this young little pit female puppy from a young child who could not keep her. The mother said no and the child (under16 years old) (THEY) were planing to leave in a park/ parking lot in a box!!! SO we took her home..SHE MIGHT BE 2 or 3 months??? we will get a close age from Vet after her shots and check up.. We have 3 dogs cats too. So we can not keep her..Friday morning we taking her to get a check up and get her 1ST shots..We gave her a bath and she acts and looks heatlty... Diamond: 5 years old, sweet little female (15 lbs) miniature American eskimo dog. Shy, loving, not bark-y, loves to go for walks on a harness. Gets along well with other dogs, and doesn't pay any attention to cats. Fine with kids. Diamond was an owner-turnover through Heart Bandits specialty rescue, that Rocket Dog Rescue stepped in to help rescue. She came with a mouth so embedded with foxtails that it took the vet nearly two hours to extract them all. After a round of double antibiotics, being de-flea'd, having been wormed, she is eating well, her coat and eyes are shining again, although her mouth is still sore - she smiles a lot and obviously is enjoying the love and attention from her foster care humans. Diamond is ready to be adopted - she will be some lucky family's dream dog.
Pilsberry: fluffy, funny 7-8 year old little male (26 lbs) miniature American eskimo dog. Outgoing, playful, loves to go for walks, gets along well with other dogs, loves all people (not a shy guy!). Fine with kids. Pilsberry was rescued with Diamond, through Heart Bandits' intervention, from the same owners. His mouth was also terribly embedded with foxtails, and he had to have teeth removed immediately. 3 hours of veterinary surgery later, he also needed antibiotics, etc etc. Now, he is a healthy guy! His grin is still goofy, and he is doing well with biscuits and crunchies. His coat is unbelievably soft and thick. He's got a lot of life yet to live, is very playful and sweet natured, at best guess he will give a very lucky huiman companion/family at least 8-10 years of wonderful eskie love and attention! Also not bark-y, good with cats. He's so showy, everyone stops you to admire him when he's out on a walk!

I have an adorable chinchilla named Souske, due to moving to a hotter city where I do not have the proper environment (air conditioning and 5 dogs) I cannot take him with me. Rescue efforts slow to a terrible, screeching halt if foster care providers cannot accept incoming dogs. Rocket Dog Rescue has been contacted by an active rescuer who desperately needs help for tiny-to-small dogs of both sexes, for small-tiny puppies, and for puppies who will grow into larger dogs but may be small for awhile. These dogs are part of the dog populations in rural California counties that have very limited animal care and control resources, and remain high-kill. Each of these dogs is scheduled for euthanasia before next Tuesday (July 13). Rocket Dog Rescue wants to help rescue as many of these dogs as possible. The dogs are scheduled to arrive in San Francisco on Saturday, July 10th. The volunteer transporter will bring as many as have been promised to be taken by rescue organizations in the Bay Area. The alternative is unthinkable.
If ever there was a time to step up and foster a great small-to-tiny dog or puppy, NOW is the time!

No volunteers receive payment for their services. All tasks involved in the organization are 100% performed by volunteers, whether foster care, Board membership, or administrative.
100% of funds collected go to the care of rescued dogs. Veterinary care is provided according to each rescued dog's needs, whether as routine as spay-neuter and shots ($240 minimum), or as extraordinary as skin grafts for acid burns (costs in the thousands). Food can be provided if needed by a foster care provider. Training of rescued dogs can be assisted or provided, as funds become available for those purposes. Leashes, collars, toys, bowls, beds, crates...the list goes on.
Hello. I am a current student at UCSC who is looking to take care of dogs this summer. I have tons of experience with dogs large (around 100lbs) and small (around 8lbs). I feel comfortable around all dogs and am willing to help with anything that you need. I can walk/run them, play fetch with them, clean up poop, etc. So if your dog is locked up all day and ends up having too much energy at night I can help with that. I am strong, capable, and make good decisions. I hope that I can help you!

You should have gotten the name and number of the female dog's owner. They are responsible to a degree because it was their dog that attacked and killed your dog. Dog owners should be responsible if their dog cause harm to other dogs or humans because their dogs are under their supervision.

My little baby boy was attacked by a female chihuahua on the night of July 6th. She had attacked him for no reason, other than jealousy. She had punctured his lung. The doctors said that they couldnt do anything for him untill the initial payment was made of $450. My credit card wasnt working, and they wouldnt let me do a postdated check. They told me to take him home and see if he makes it........His breathing was getting worse and I could see his lungs breathing through his skin so I pleaded with the doctors. They said that it was against company policy and that they couldnt help him. I called every vet hospital in the Bay and begged them to please help me. Please let me give them a postdated check or pay when the bank opened in the morning or sign my house away.....anything to save him....anything...... They all said no........My little babies life is worth nothing to them......I sat in my car in front of the hospital and cried and begged and tried to get SOMEONE, ANYONE, to help me......he was slowly slipping away...... I knew that he was in pain and so I did the hardest thing Ive ever had to do.....I said my goodbys ............and told him I was sorry for ever yelling at him, putting him outside when he was bad, for telling him to stop jumping on my leg or for chewing something up. I apologized for everything that ever made him feel less loved or upset. I told him I loved him with all my heart and didnt want him to suffer.......He gave me kisses and whined at me, still wagging his little tail and I kissed him and hugged him........and he went to sleep.........
He trusted me to keep him safe and I didnt deliver. His life is gone because of me.......I will never forgive myself or the vets that did nothing to help save my little boy.
God Bless you Pup Pup, and may you rest in peace forever.......mamma loves you with all her heart baby.....
For those of you who are still blessed enough to hold your little ones(and big ones), love them every chance you get, because in a flash, they could be gone forever..........

Skippy is an 11 month old, neutered Staffordshire Terrier currently in a boarding facility. Although he is not in the shelter still, he really would do so much better in a loving home. He thinks everything is a toy, loves to play ball and his butt is wigglin' the whole time. Skippy does not have one mean bone in his body and loves all dogs he meets and all people. He does think he is a lap dog and I've tried to tell him he is a bit big for that, but why ruin it for him!
Do you have a fenced yard, some time to throw the ball for this big goofy boy?
